Sherri and Marie have been modeling on the web for years
now. As stars of the Webe Web stable of models, they gathered quite a following as the
sisters grew to became two of the hottest internet stars around. In fact, they were so
hot, a third site had to be opened to accommodate the fans' need for new content. Last
November, Webe Web was shut down in a desperate attempt to eliminate the industry. Most of
the models faded away, but a few have persisted, and Sherri and Marie were the first to
return. In 2007, their site opened, and they offered 3 brand-new DVDs for sale. Here is my
review of each of the DVDs... |
SMDVD001 - Marie
In her last video for Webe Web, Marie described herself as "not the
most talented person out of the bunch". It's funny to think of Marie as modest and
reserved, considering what she does, but sure enough, that almost appears to be the case
with this DVD, as well. This DVD doesn't star Marie as much as it co-stars Sherri. While
Sherri doesn't appear on camera, her voice is heard throughout this short 24-minute
feature. I love Sherri, but this actually hurts the video, as we learn less about Marie
and more about Sherri, who already has two other DVDs available. Marie, being the humble
person that she is, lets Sherri have her moments, preferring to get attention with her
looks rather than her personality. |

There is no real menu on the DVD... no chapter
selection is available. I popped it in my DVD player, and it started playing immediately.
I've heard of some people having trouble playing the DVD on their TV player, but had no
troubles on the DVD drive of their computer. Personally, I had no problems playing them on
either, but your mileage may vary. The DVD is brief at 24 minutes, and only features
photoshoot footage. There are no sit-down interviews, karaoke, dancing, or any personal
touches to it... it's just a direct look at what it's like at a typical Marie photoshoot.
The feature starts off with the videographer (and Sherri, of course) discussing with Marie
some possible names she would like to use on her upcoming website. (Note: She apparently
stuck with "Marie".) It continues with various other outfits, shot in late
2006/early 2007, so outdoor shoots appear to be cold. |

I was most curious as to the
interaction between Marie and her photographer, ModelMom (shown right), but most of
ModelMom's talk is with the videographer, who gives her advice on lighting and
photography. I would recommend this DVD if you're a hardcore Marie fan, but if you're
looking for something that shows the real side of Marie, you might want to wait for a
possible future release that's a little more polished, and a little more planned out. I
would NOT recommend ordering this DVD by itself, but instead taking advantage of the
flat-rate shipping the Sherri
and Marie store offers. Marie is a sweetheart, and I hope someday that the
people that run her site allow her to show that on DVD. |

SMDVD002 - Sherri
Sherri does NOT appear to be camera-shy at all. She's definitely not
intimidated to be interviewed and can hold her own with the comebacks. This DVD starts
out, similar to Marie's, with Sherri discussing possible names for her new website. As we
all know, she apparently stuck with "Sherri", but she and her videographer go
through a variety of names, from common to outrageous. They make it no secret that Sherri
is not her real name, and even go so far as to use her real name on this DVD (which they
also did on Marie's DVD). This seems to be Sherri with no holds barred, and she's coming
out a full speed. I can't imagine what this girl is like with caffeine in her system. |

Like
Marie's DVD, this video is all photoshoot footage, with no formal interviews, karaoke,
dancing, or any personal touches other than Sherri's candid discussion about names, music,
her boyfriend, and anything else that pops into her pretty little head. She does sing
along with some music, and dances to the beat a little, but this is mostly in between
shots. This DVD is all business, and we get to be a fly on the wall. And similar to
Marie's DVD, there is no menu or chapter selection. However, unlike Marie's DVD, this
video bounces back and forth between the chilly outdoors (shot in late 2006 or early 2007)
and the drab sheet-covered backdrops of the indoors. It's also over twice as long as
Marie's, coming in at about an hour of running time.
