The last 12 months have been crazy for Hope. Last November, her first modeling site was
abruptly shut down, and fans were wondering when we'd see her again. It didn't take her
long to resurface, as she was the first former Webe Web model to open a site in January.
However, she found herself out of a job again in July when her then-webmaster
made a BAD decision, based on poor logic, to drop her site. Hope took a break, as her
older sisters, Sherri and Marie, continued to give us sub-par content at their own site.
But a lot of us wondered when we'd see younger sis Hope again. Well, the wait is over, as Hope's
section of Southern Glamour Girls is now open!
Southern Glamour
Girls is run by the woman known as ModelMom, mother to the modeling clan
known as Marie, Sherri, and Hope. After being jerked around by various webmasters in the
past, she's now taken matters into her own hands, handling both webmaster and photographer
duties to all the models under the Southern Glamour Girls umbrella. Hope's return has been
highly anticipated by many fans, and I'm honored to finally review her site!
|
| The Model: A lot of
people look at Hope and think she's just a mini-version of Marie, but that's not really a
fair judgement. In fact, I would say that Hope's 2007 photos have outclassed Marie's 2007
photos in terms of quality AND content. I find that younger models are generally limited
in what they can do, but Hope takes those limitations and uses them to her advantage!
While her big sisters have fallen into the trap of posing in nothing but skimpy lingerie
or thong bikinis, Hope actually wears clothes in her photos, and knows how to model.
Don't let her age fool you... she has a presence in front of the camera that much older
models will never have. I usually don't care for models as young as Hope... I feel that if
a model looks like she needs a babysitter, she's too young for me to appreciate. But this
9-year old looks like she's in control, and doesn't look the least bit clumsy or
uncomfortable in front of the camera. Unfortunately, she's not much of a smiler... a good
portion of her pics feature her closed-mouthed and looking too serious. However, when she
does smile, you see a lot of the charming personality that made so many of her fans fall
in love with her. She's a veteran, even though her age hasn't even reached double-digits
yet. |

The Photography: As far as I know, ModelMom is the only regular photographer
Hope has had in her web modeling career. This may lend to some of why Hope looks
completely at-ease in her pictures, and ModelMom is no hack when it comes to a camera,
either. Is she the best ever? No... but each photo seems to be clear, centered properly
(one of my pet peeves are badly centered photos... grrrrrrr....), and Hope isn't blinking
or sneezing in any of them. ModelMom shoots both indoors and outdoors, and the only
lighting problems I've seen so far are when she has Hope posing in front of a black
background while wearing black clothes (another pet peeve of mine). It's also worth noting
that she's tagged each photo with the southernglamourgirls.com URL in a very low-key and
unobtrusive way, using a small and light colored font that doesn't distract you from the
subject matter (something Hope's earlier 2007 website seemed to do). ModelMom apparently
has a good eye for beauty and knows what to empahasize.

Content: Each image is
a good resolution 853x1280 pixel size, with file sizes ranging from approximately 300KB to
over 800KB. Each set is over 50 photos, with the largest set coming in at 106 photos.
There is no nudity or implied sexuality in the photos, no upskirts, and no nonsense...
just straight up beauty with no frills. Hope wears a variety of clothes, ranging from
bikinis, to jeans and t-shirts, to hot pink costumes.
Each set is only available as a downloadable zip file, ranging from 15 to 30MB each, with
the largest so far being 46MB. If you're on dial-up, I would recommend using a program
that supports resuming downloads. The zip files are the only files offered at the website. |
Extras: There are no extras at Hope's section of Southern Glamour Girls.
There is a store section that currently features her previously-offered DVD, but that's
separate from your monthly membership.

Price:
Hope's website costs $19.95 for 30-days non-recurring. There is no recurring option. You
may pay by credit card for instant access, or via check or money order by snail-mail
directly to ModelMom. Because of the way her older sisters lost their website, some folks
out there may be reluctant to join Hope's site... however, ModelMom appears to be handling
everything herself, and is doing what she can to win back her girls' fans. The $19.95
price rate is lower than a lot of other models out there right now.
Criticisms: Speaking as someone who has made galleries for modeling websites
in the past, I'm very disappointed in the fact that there are no galleries at Hope's
website. While it's the ultimate goal of visitors to download each set, some of us still
like to browse, and check out certain photos immediately, rather than being forced to
download the entire set before seeing anything. I realize I'm in the minority here, but
since I know how easy it is to make galleries of thumbnails, I was a bit bummed out that
all I got were zip sets inside. |

The Bottom Line: Hope's not going away without a fight. Every
time someone says she can't do something, she goes ahead and does it anyway... and her
third website is proof of that. She comes from a family of beautiful sisters, and while
she may have some similar features to her older siblings, she still stands alone as an
individual with her own unique style. The Southern Glamour Girls picks up where her
previous website left off, and Hope hasn't missed a single step. And the sky is the
limit... she's only going to get better as time goes on. If you're looking for a charming
model with a cool attitude, check out Hope's site... it's a great price for a
legend-in-the-making.
